Zain Randeree
BA, LLB
Mr Randeree completed his B.A. and LLB from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 1989. He went on to complete his articles at Cuzen and Woods and was admitted as an attorney in 1993.
Mr Randeree joined the partnership at Cuzen Woods and Randeree in 1998.
Mr Randeree has acted as the advisor of Tata Steel (KZN) on the construction of a Smelter Plant to the value of R1 billion and advised on the acquisition of an iron ore mine to the value of R500 million in the Northern Cape.
Mr Randeree has extensive experience in mining related litigation and has acted for mining companies predominantly in the Northern Cape.
Mr Randeree is also lead legal advisor to KP Lime (Pty) Ltd (formally PPC Lime) in the Northern Cape.
Mr Randeree also works with an extensive team dealing with mine compliance and reporting.
On the commercial side, Mr Randeree has acted as the advisor on the implementation of the feeder and distribution bus service for the Gautrain.
Mzukisi Dyasi
LLB
Mzukisi Dyasi completed his LLB degree at the University of Johannesburg in 2011. Since obtaining his LLB, Mr Dyasi has held numerous positions that have contributed to his wealth of experience. In 2012, he held the position of client liaison officer at Nedbank Ltd where he assisted in the resolution of banking disputes and in the nurturing of the client relationship.
Thereafter, Mr Dyasi served as legal advisor at Transnet Freight Rail where he attended to the management of the litigation processes, drafting of commercial agreements, adjudication of supply chain processes and the negotiation of commercial transactions.
After serving as an in-house practitioner in the banking and transport sector, Mr Dyasi went on to serve his articles of clerkship at Raborifi R Incorporated Attorneys and was subsequently admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2014.
Mr Dyasi has experience in High Court litigation, commercial drafting , mergers & acquisitions transactions, banking & finance, due diligence, opinion drafting, policy and legislative drafting, mining law corporate structuring and shareholder disputes. Furthermore, Mr Dyasi serves as a non executive director of the BAE Health Foundation NPC, a non-profit organisation that focuses on the access to adequate health care for the indigent.
In 2016, he was appointed as a director of Bosman Giyose Dyasi Incorporated Attorneys and played a key role in the growth of the firm by bringing about a wealth of experience and significant change which morphed into, Dyasi M Incorporated Attorneys and today Cuzen Randeree Dyasi Inc.
René Gewers
BCOM, LLB
Miss Gewers completed her B. Com Law and LLB from the University of the Free State in 2008 and 2012 respectively. She worked in the banking industry for almost two years prior to completing her articles at Van de Wall Incorporated and was admitted as an Attorney in 2016.
Miss Gewers became a director at Van de Wall Incorporated in 2017.
She has experience in District, Regional and High Court litigation. She has assisted with various liquor license annual renewals to date and new liquor license and transfer of liquor license application submissions at the Kimberley Liquor Board.
Miss Gewers interests have been focused on litigation and dispute resolution. She is now also venturing into working with an extensive team dealing with mine compliance and reporting.
Miss Gewers operates from the firm’s Kimberley branch, located in the Northern Cape Province.
John Cuzen
B.COM, LLB
Mr. Cuzen was admitted as an attorney in 1981 and is also a qualified conveyancer. Over the course of his distinguished legal career, he has developed extensive experience as a commercial attorney, focusing on the preparation and advisory aspects of a wide variety of commercial and business agreements. His legal expertise extends beyond contractual matters, encompassing commercial litigation, property transactions, matrimonial law, and several other branches of law.
Known for his strategic thinking and analytical skills, Mr. Cuzen has a strong track record in matters that require sophisticated problem-solving abilities and commercial mediation, often assisting clients in navigating complex legal challenges to achieve practical and mutually beneficial outcomes. His professional approach combines technical legal knowledge with a pragmatic understanding of business realities, making him a trusted advisor to a broad range of clients.
John operates from the firm’s offices in Claremont, Cape Town, where he continues to provide high-level legal services to both corporate and individual clients, offering tailored solutions that reflect his decades of experience and dedication to professional excellence.
